Why cycling?

If your medical doctor allows you to cycle, then it is a right time to find some nice bike and kit in the sports shop or out on your most comfortable clothes and go and hire a bike to try. If you have cycled at least once in your life, your muscular memory will quickly remember how to pedal. What if this is the first time in your life ever? There are dozens of local cycling clubs in your area, they usually offer free of charge trainings and tutorials.

What do you need to start cycling?

Of course, comfortable clothes, not-slippery shoes, and a good bike, you will need a rucksack, a bottle of water, a map (regardless what type electronic or paper), a helmet to ride safely, kneepads and elbow covers. You will need to do exercises before at least for a week before you start cycling, to add power to your muscles.

How to ride with pleasure

If bicycle is not a means of transport for you, but an entertainment, try your first rides in parks or in the countryside, when you get enough of practice you can try riding along roads with less traffic, be patient and do not rush into heavily busy roads, if you get extra stress from the very beginning, the process of cycling will be associated with something nerve-racking and unpleasant.

Find a good company

Ask your friends and family, maybe some of them would want to join you in your new hobby and they will support you, and, as you know, doing something as a company always adds amusement! Join a club and take part in cycling marathons, find lots of new friends that share your interests, this will make your life brighter and more than that healthier.
